save for abright future

Our Background

The idea of working  together to develop and promote the wellbeing amongst the staff of Lubaga Hospital through the culture of communal savings and credit started way back in the early 1990’s. During this time Staff members formed what was then called the “Rubaga Hospital Club” and at one time the club received Entandikwa Credit Scheme in 1996 and 1997. Due to the successes that the staff registered over the years, Members then resolved to form a savings and credit society on 1 st march 2009 and on 24 th July 2009 the society was registered with the ministry of trade, Industry and Cooperative with a registration number 8949/RCS. It was inaugurated on 3rd /Oct.2009.

The society started with a membership of 50 members of staff in 2009 and the numbers have progressively grown over the years to a total of 675 members, 0ver 2.2b worth of share capital, and around 0.68b worth of savings as at 31st December 2022.
